Regatta

Mikata High School has many events. The school regatta is one of them. It is held in October every year in the lake which is near the school. The first and second grade students take part in it. There is a total of ten classes that take part with five groups per class. Five students ride in one boat. There are usually two boys groups and two girls groups and one mixed group. The students then compete in a tournament. It is 500 meters from the starting line to the finish line. You may think "only 500 meters?" but it is very long so we are very tired.
